Bhavin Shah Mumbai Case
In a fresh development that intensifies the ongoing controversy, a second FIR has been registered against Bhavin Shah, trustee of the Mohamed Khaleel Siddick Suleman Charitable Foundation Trust, at BKC Police Station in Mumbai under Sections 74 and 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
This marks the second case of alleged sexual exploitation against Bhavin Shah within a span of one month. Earlier, a similar case had been registered at Worli Police Station under Sections 74, 75, 78 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against Bhavin Shah and co trustee Khaleel Suleman Siddick. That case involved allegations that women were called under the pretext of donation related meetings and later subjected to exploitation.
According to the complaint filed in the BKC case, the complainant stated that Bhavin Shah initially contacted her regarding a potential donation for animal welfare activities. He invited her to a meeting at a five star hotel in Mumbai where, during the discussion, he allegedly made inappropriate demands for sexual favors. Disturbed by the situation, the woman reportedly left the meeting immediately.
However, the complaint further states that a few days later, Bhavin Shah allegedly contacted her again, apologized for his behavior, and requested another meeting at a five star hotel in the BKC area. Trusting the apology, the woman agreed to meet him again. During this second meeting, it is alleged that Bhavin Shah once again attempted to force himself into a sexual relationship despite her resistance.
After facing repeated harassment, the complainant finally approached the police and formally registered a case at BKC Police Station on 14 March 2026.
When contacted regarding the action taken in this matter, Senior Police Inspector Suresh Padvi of BKC Police Station stated that the FIR was registered promptly after understanding the seriousness of the allegations and that the investigation is currently underway.
This latest FIR adds to the mounting legal trouble for Bhavin Shah. As previously reported, the Worli Police case had already brought the trustee under scrutiny, with allegations of a similar pattern involving women being approached under the pretext of donations linked to animal welfare activities.
In that earlier case, police officials had confirmed that the matter was serious and under investigation, though no arrest had been made at the time of reporting.
News Next has also attempted to reach out to Bhavin Shah for his response on the latest allegations. However, at the time of publishing this report, no reply had been received from him.
The emergence of a second FIR with a similar pattern of allegations raises serious concerns and may play a crucial role in the ongoing investigations. Authorities are expected to examine whether there is a repeated modus operandi and whether further complaints may surface.
The case also brings renewed attention to earlier reports regarding the functioning of the Mohamed Khaleel Siddick Suleman Charitable Foundation Trust, where questions had already been raised about the alleged misuse of funds and activities not aligned with genuine animal welfare work.
