A case of gang rape has been registered at the Mumbai Police Station against Shiva Prasad Reddy, a businessman from Hyderabad, and Kedar Shah, under Sections 64(1), 64(2)(d), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The complainant, a 26-year-old model and actress, has alleged that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by the accused at various locations, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Hong Kong, and Morocco, over the past two years.
In her statement to the police, the complainant further claimed that Shiva Prasad Reddy made promises of marriage and assured her of producing a film featuring her, which led her to trust and travel with him. The accused allegedly exploited her under these false assurances.
Mumbai Police have initiated an investigation into the matter, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
